When she began her career in ophthalmology as a technician specializing in biometry and cataract outcomes analysis, Myra Nisly Cherchio, COMT, COE, appreciated the mentorship of James Gills, MD, who encouraged her to develop her clinical skills. Now on the business side, Cherchio works on giving back and paying it forward, most recently as a member of ASOA’s Transformational Task Force.
