Patients increasingly expect healthcare providers to offer digital conveniences and solutions. According to a recent Harris Poll survey of U.S. adults, 61% would like their healthcare experience to be more like an online convenience service app, such as Uber. In fact, 81% believe the ability to schedule appointments online would make scheduling much easier; 29% said the availability of self-scheduling is a factor that could motivate people to switch providers.
