Ophthalmology is comprised of nuanced subspecialties —one of those being retina. Retina for many reasons is wildly different from other ophthalmic specialties. From the costly drugs to emergencies, the differences are significant. As a result, administrators in charge of adding retina services to their ophthalmology practice may have questions on how to effectively carry out and run that service expansion.
