Our profession’s old-shoes-comfortable status quo is over. For something approaching 30 years, we have enjoyed relative structural and economic stability, albeit with frustratingly deflating (but survivable) fees, and low- expense inflation. We’ve enjoyed easy staff recruiting and low staff turnover (and consequently high training ROI) and—until recently—relatively easy MD and OD recruiting.
