Not a surprising comment considering the financial cost of lost production. “What’s the cost of not doing it?” I then asked. I reminded the doctor of the many ways that lack of empathy can hurt a practice, including staff turnover, poor patient reviews, low elective procedure conversion rates, and potential lawsuits from patients who feel misunderstood.
