I think we are all familiar with the phrase “knowledge is power.” Often our patients arrive in our offices not knowing what to expect, leaving them nervous, scared, and overwhelmed. It is critical they understand not only are they going to decide if they will have surgery, but thanks to technology, they often must choose between surgical techniques and decide the type of implant they want. These choices can lead to confusion and frustration.
