Twenty years ago, my husband and I moved to a new city as a young military family. At that time I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree and needed a job that offered flexibility and security. While attending night classes, I started a position as an ophthalmic technician, and quickly discovered I had a strong passion for ophthalmology.
