Have you ever gone to a new restaurant featuring large, impressive fish tanks as you eagerly walked in to be seated? If the tanks were pristine, clear, and beautiful, you probably noticed healthy fish swimming around colorful coral and aquatic plants, creating a pleasant pre-meal ambience. By contrast, if you noticed the water was cloudy, making the fish and plants look filmy, or worse, you saw green algae girdling the tank, it might have prompted you to believe the hygiene in the food preparation areas could be lacking as well.
