Right from the Introduction (“Great Managers Are Made, Not Born”) and ending with the Epilogue (“The Journey Is 1% Finished”), this book kept my attention. To be honest, I am not much of a reader, but felt I was lacking in some respects as a manager, as a leader. Since I began my career as an ophthalmic assistant in 1986, I wanted to be a manager. I worked hard to learn from peers, colleagues, bosses, etc. Many times I thought, “What am I doing? I am not cut out for this!”
