The Challenges of Managing Practice Growth

Growth at any level can make managing your practice sharply harder, in direct proportion to the pace of growth. Higher growth rates occur in at least two settings. The first is in a startup practice. Even though you may be building from a low base, the rate of change over time can be overwhelming. The second is what every ophthalmic administrator is experiencing right now. As COVID-19 recedes, patients are returning, many of them baby boomer seniors who need more eyecare. Add to that the mild spike of recent ophthalmic retirements, which has left more work and more overwhelming for everyone else. Here are ten pearls to help you adapt to higher practice growth rates.
