More than 30 years ago, Debbie Davis was starting a medical internship. “My grandmother, who was very dear to me, was legally blind,” Davis said. “So I requested assignment to an ophthalmology practice so I could learn more about eye diseases and blindness.” To her surprise, she fell in love with ophthalmology.
