When Feedback Fails: How to Make Your Feedback More Effective

In 2017, the leadership development consultancy Zenger/Folkman surveyed 7,631 managers about their attitudes towards feedback.1 The results were grim: Nearly half of managers responded that they found giving negative feedback stressful. Perhaps because of the anxiety surrounding delivering negative feedback, a staggering fifth of managers revealed that they avoid it altogether.
