Key thought leaders at Blockbuster reportedly paid little heed when Netflix began nipping at their heels, unable to imagine a day when their loyal DVD-renting customers would make the shift toward subscription video streaming. As a result of this business disruption, Netflix is now worth billions, and Blockbuster is bankrupt.
