In December 2018, I was busy preparing for the holidays, planning my daughter’s wedding, and contemplating scheduling blepharoplasty surgery prior to the big day. As mother of the bride, I was feeling a sense of getting older and of course I want to look my best at this major milestone for my firstborn’s wedding! Then during the holidays I noticed a decrease in my vision. I was more than a little concerned when I couldn’t read anything that was printed on the television and couldn’t see the playing card numbers across the table. The vision in my right eye appeared as if I were looking through wax paper.
