Building a Compensation Philosophy

Practices that consistently use a thoughtful, value-based approach to decision-making are generally better equipped to move forward with confidence. Since today’s tight labor market is making it difficult to find and retain good employees, the same value-based approach should be used to establish your practice’s staff compensation program. Being grounded in your compensation philosophy can prevent reactionary decisions that lead to undesired business results and high employee turnover. Furthermore, since staff is the biggest investment made by most medical practices, this topic deserves careful consideration.
