One of the top concerns facing practice administrators is recruitment. How can practices find and hire qualified candidates for all positions: ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians, and staff? Eyecare demand is surging as more baby boomers reach age 65 or older. Need had already outpaced the supply of ophthalmologists and trained ophthalmic technicians and then in March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
