Using Data to Prove Your Point - Effective Use of Data With Providers and Staff

If we came to you passionate about the fact that the world was flat, would you believe us or would you ask us to prove it? In our role as administrators, the physicians we work with day in and day out are scientists at heart, having spent many years perfecting their practice of medicine. Finding ways to communicate with them regarding various clinic issues is often difficult; however, if you have accurate and reproducible data to prove your hypothesis, your recommendations may hold more weight in their eyes. Similarly, in managing staff, having an accurate system to measure daily productivity will allow you to hold staff accountable with accurate data that is fairly enforced.
