When the first case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in the United States, I like all of you, was extremely concerned. My ophthalmologist and some staff are high-risk and so are most of our patients. Though Italy had used a country-wide quarantine to help combat the pandemic, I never expected such an order would ever be used in Maryland or that it would cause a doctor’s office to close.
