ASOA Call for Volunteers is Now Open!


Are you interested in shaping your career and the future of ASOA? How about making a real – and lasting – impact on the ophthalmic practice management industry? Now’s the time! Volunteering with ASOA allows you to lead and achieve by:

  • Creating lasting relationships with colleagues across the country
  • Developing new skills and enhancing existing ones
  • Assuming a leadership role within the ophthalmology field
  • Giving back to the profession

Volunteers are integral to ASOA’s success. Your contributions ultimately help others. We know that everyone has a different talent to offer—and we have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities—many of which have short-term commitments, but long-term value. And, they’re fun. Terms begin on September 1, 2016 and end at the conclusion of the May 2017 ASOA Congress. Committee and task force terms do not automatically renew. Once you apply for the opportunities you are interested in, you can expect the following:

August 29: Call for Volunteers closes.
August 29 - August 31: Review of applicants and assignments made.
September 1: Assigned volunteers will be emailed details of the committee/task force assignments and asked to complete a Committee Commitment Agreement form. Every effort will be made to assign volunteers according to their specific requests.

Please Note: Vendor, Consultant, Specialty Staff, and Trial Members are not eligible for Committees. Vendors and Consultants are permitted to participate in the other volunteer opportunities, including Task Forces. Specialty Staff and Trial Members are not eligible for Task Forces.
